Cut Your Heating Bill by Wearing Cashmere

A day doesn’t go by without a news reader or journalist mentioning the “Credit Crunch” .  Whilst we all need to be aware of the current financial climate, it is important not to be overwhelmed by doom and gloom.  Just by making a few changes in our habits, there are ways of saving some money without saving on style. In stead of turning up the heating, keep yourself warm by wrapping up in lovely warm cashmere!  Cashmere is now much more affordable and certainly less expensive than turning up the thermostat.  In order to get the best use of your cashmere clothing, it is important to make sure you choose colours that flatter you.  If you do this, you will be complimented on how well you look, you will feel confident and of course warm as toast!

It is vitally important to get the right colour.  Remember you are trying save money not waste it.  If your cashmere is to be a good investment, you need to want to wear it all the time. If you divide the cost of the item by the number of times you wear it, this gives the  true worth.  For example, spending ?10 on an item you wear once, costs ?10 per wear. If you spend ?50 on an item and wear it 50 times, it cost you ?1 per wear.

Every shade can look better or worse on different people according to their hair and eye colour and their skin tone.  The general rule is to match your looks with the types or shades of colour you choose.  For example if you have very dark hair and eyes, deep colours will suit you best.  In contrast if you have very pale skin and eyes and light blond hair, light colours will be better for you.  A colour consultation can help with finding all the right colours.

Once you have chosen a flattering colour, you then need to consider the shape or style of the item.  Tall women with curvy hourglass figures will look fabulous in a long belted cashmere cardigan.  This style would swamp somebody under 5’3” and possible make them look square if they have a rectangular body shape.   Equally a man with an athletic triangular figure would be hiding his shape if he wore a large baggy jumper, even if the colour was perfect.  Wearing the wrong shaped clothes can add pounds but wearing the correct shape and style can take pounds off!

All that remains to be done, is to find that perfect piece of cashmere and you can save pounds (?) and pounds (lb) and be «greener» too.
